For most pets, the hardest part of a vet visit isn’t the examination. It’s the carrier, the car, the unfamiliar smells, the other animals in the waiting room, and the general sense that something unsettling is happening. By the time the vet walks in, many animals are already too stressed to be examined well.
A home visit sidesteps all of that. Dr Stuart comes to your door, works in the environment your pet already knows, and takes as long as the visit needs. There’s no waiting room to wind them up, no strange surfaces to stress them out, and no clock forcing the consultation to a close.
For cats especially, who often find travel and clinical environments genuinely distressing, the difference in how they present at home versus a clinic can be significant. And a relaxed pet is a pet that can actually be examined properly.

Dr Stuart Cunningham has over a decade of veterinary experience and built Personalised Mobile Vet around one straightforward idea: that the quality of care shouldn’t be limited by the format it’s delivered in.
PMV is a small, personal practice. Bookings and enquiries are handled by Jo. When Dr Stuart arrives at your home, it is him — the same vet every visit, who already knows your pet and won’t be handing you off to someone else next time.
He works without time pressure and without a packed schedule. If your pet needs something that requires surgery, imaging or hospital care, he will be direct with you about that. But for most consultations, the home visit covers everything.
